The right adhesive depends on the type of flooring. For parquet floors, a 1K or 2K PU adhesive is often used, while PVC and vinyl adhere better with a dispersion adhesive. For tiles, a cement-based adhesive is recommended. Always check the manufacturer's specifications. If you're unsure, give us a call. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and even. Use a notched trowel to spread the adhesive evenly and lay the flooring within the adhesive's open time. Observe the drying time before subjecting the floor to traffic.
Drying time varies by type of adhesive. Fast-drying adhesives can be loaded within a few hours, while PU adhesives require up to 24 hours. Consult the packaging for specific drying times.
For underfloor heating, elastic adhesives like PU or MS polymer adhesives are ideal because they accommodate the expansion and contraction of the floor without detaching.
